Screens display colors differently, and physical materials (paper, canvas, acrylic, etc.) naturally affect the final appearance. This prevents customers from claiming the artwork is defective because it looks slightly different from their monitor preview.
Returns and cancellations are limited
Custom-made artwork often cannot be resold after production. This clearly communicates the policy before purchase.
Made-to-order / custom production
Customers need to understand that artwork is not a ready-to-ship item and may require production time. This also supports a limited return/cancellation policy because the product is created specifically after purchase.
Copyright and usage rights
This protects Erin’s photography rights. Customers are buying a physical artwork piece, not the ability to reproduce, sell, or use the image commercially.

The Artwork
Ancient Turning is an original fine-art photography print celebrating resilience, wisdom, and the beauty of time’s passage. Created as a customizable art print, it brings grounded strength, texture, and quiet presence into healing spaces and meaningful home décor.
The weathered folds of this tree reveal years of growth, change, and endurance. Captured in black and white, every curve and detail becomes a reminder that what has been shaped by life can hold its own unique beauty.
Behind the Artwork
The folds of this weathered wood seem to turn inward and outward at once. I was drawn to the knot because it does not hide the years that shaped it. Every curve, split, and darkened edge has become part of its beauty. In black and white, the tree's history feels even more present, almost sculptural. To me, this image speaks of survival without polish, and of the strange grace that can emerge when life bends us into forms we never expected. It brings grounded strength, texture, and an ancient quiet into a room, honoring the wisdom held in what has endured.
